Role Overview

As a Senior Salesforce Developer, you will lead the design and implementation of Salesforce Developer solutions, providing technical advisory and hands-on expertise to deliver business outcomes. You’ll architect solutions based on Salesforce Best Practices, focusing on instance strategy, technical governance, core data, Salesforce Integrations, and platform health. This role combines Salesforce Solution Architect responsibilities with occasional configuration and development, guiding multiple development teams to implement best practices through collaborative planning sessions and detailed architecture artifacts. You’ll work in a mid-day shift (2:00/3:00 PM IST to 12:00/1:00 AM IST) in an EST-aligned timezone to collaborate seamlessly with global stakeholders, including business partners, onshore/offshore teams, and the Salesforce Solution team within Teradata’s global IT department.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement Salesforce Developer solutions across the full Salesforce SDLC, from inception to completion.
• Provide consultative guidance on Salesforce Best Practices to maximize ROI and drive business outcomes.
• Establish best practices for instance strategy, technical governance, core data, and Salesforce Integrations.
• Develop detailed solution architecture artifacts to support technology review and planning sessions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, development teams, and integration teams to define requirements and deliver Salesforce Certified solutions.
• Perform hands-on configuration (flows, validation rules, security controls) and occasional Salesforce API Development.
• Test and troubleshoot Salesforce flows, Apex code, and Salesforce Integrations to ensure platform reliability.
• Document user stories, create to-be process flow diagrams, and support the full Salesforce SDLC.
• Guide cross-functional teams to adopt Salesforce Best Practices and deliver scalable solutions.
• Manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of experience as a Salesforce Developer, with hands-on configuration of flows, validation rules, and security controls.
• Proven ability to test and troubleshoot Salesforce flows and Apex code.
• Salesforce Certified Administrator certification (required).
• Experience with a full Salesforce SDLC, including requirement gathering and solution delivery.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to quickly adapt to new projects, business needs, and technologies.
• Excellent presentation, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks within a collaborative team setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Visio for documentation and process mapping.
• Experience documenting user stories, creating process flow diagrams, and collaborating with business stakeholders.
• Ability to work with integration teams to support requirements and testing for Salesforce Integrations.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience as a Certinia Developer supporting Certinia (FinancialForce) applications.
• Expertise in Salesforce CPQ or Services CPQ.
• Additional Salesforce Certified credentials (e.g., Platform Developer I, Platform App Builder).
• Familiarity with Salesforce API Development for external users.
• Experience with Salesforce Integrations involving other enterprise systems.
