Senior FinancialForce / Certinia Developer

Role Overview

As a Senior FinancialForce/Certinia Developer, you will lead the design and implementation of Salesforce solutions, focusing on the Certinia (FinancialForce) platform. You’ll provide technical advisory, hands-on development, and consultative guidance to deliver business outcomes and maximize ROI. This role involves architecting solutions, establishing best practices for instance strategy, technical governance, integrations, and platform health, while guiding multiple development teams. You’ll work in a mid-day shift (2:00/3:00 PM IST to 12:00/1:00 AM IST) in an EST-aligned timezone to ensure seamless collaboration with global stakeholders, including business partners, onshore/offshore teams, and the Salesforce Solution team within Teradata’s global IT department.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement Salesforce solutions, including API development for external users, from project inception to completion.
• Provide consultative guidance on Salesforce and Certinia best practices to drive business outcomes.
• Establish and support instance strategy, technical governance, core data management, and integrations.
• Develop detailed solution architecture artifacts to guide technology review and planning sessions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, development teams, and integration teams to define requirements and deliver solutions.
• Perform hands-on configuration and development on the Salesforce platform when needed.
• Test and troubleshoot Salesforce flows, Apex code, and integrations to ensure platform reliability.
• Document user stories, create to-be process flow diagrams, and support the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Guide cross-functional teams to adopt best practices and deliver scalable, high-impact solutions.
• Manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of experience on the Salesforce platform, including hands-on configuration of flows, validation rules, and security controls.
• Proven ability to test and troubleshoot Salesforce flows and Apex code.
• Salesforce Certified Administrator certification (required).
• Experience with a full SDLC Salesforce implementation, including requirement gathering and solution delivery.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to quickly adapt to new projects, business needs, and technologies.
• Excellent presentation, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks within a collaborative team setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Visio for documentation and process mapping.
• Experience documenting user stories, creating process flow diagrams, and collaborating with business stakeholders.
• Ability to work with integration teams to support requirements and testing.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience supporting Certinia (FinancialForce) applications.
• Expertise in Salesforce CPQ or Services CPQ.
• Additional Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform Developer I, Platform App Builder).
• Familiarity with building APIs for external users.
• Experience with integrations involving Salesforce and other enterprise systems.
